Disclaimer: Sailor Moon and Co. are not mine, I am merely borrowing them for the sake of the fanfic.
A few weeks later, Michiru and I were released from the hospital. Setsuna had arrived to drive us home. When we got there, she smiled slyly and led us inside. Puzzled, I followed her, Michiru behind me.
Suddenly the lights flew on and our friends, Hotaru, Usagi, Ami, Makoto, Rei, Minako, Chibi-Usa, and even Mamoru leapt up to greet us. “Welcome home!” they all cried. Michiru looked at me, I looked at her, and we both laughed. They had all come to welcome us home.
Ever since I had revealed my past to Michiru, I’d stopped having the dreams. Instead, Kiisaru ventured back to me in more pleasant ones, remembering the time we’d shared. I now understood even more than before that our time on Earth was limited, and we should make the best of it, with all the ones we loved. For me, that meant my friends, and my beloved Michiru. I’d never try to run again. Destiny was there, whether I liked it or not, and there was no way to escape.
I had to ignore the future and take in the present, acknowledge the time I had here. I wouldn’t waste a minute anymore. Hotaru ran and threw her arms around my waist. It had been such a long time since Michiru and I had seen her.
I hugged her tightly with my right arm, my left still in the sling. “I missed you both so much.” She whispered in my ear. “We missed you, too.” I whispered back. She giggled and a released her. She ran to hug Michiru.
I hugged all my younger friends, Usagi, Chib-Usa, Ami, Makoto, Rei, Minako, and even Mamoru. Smiling at Setsuna, I embraced her. She had been the only thing keeping me here that first year after I was orphaned. Without her, I don’t know what I might have done, or if I would have even been alive.
“Thank you. For all you’ve done for me.” I whispered in her ear. She chuckled. “I couldn’t very well leave a fellow Sailor Senshi to fend for herself, could I?” she asked. I gasped. “You knew? Even then?” I asked, surprised. “Of course.” She replied. “But…how? I was so young, how could you possibly have known?”
I pulled away from her. She smiled knowingly. “I have my ways.” I laughed at her old, familiar line that had seemed so mysterious so long ago. “I’m that obvious, I suppose?” I asked jokingly. She laughed. “Not really. I just knew you when I saw you.” She said.
Michiru walked over, wrapping her arm around my waist. Setsuna laughed and walked away. Michiru kissed me with a passion I’d never felt in her before. Now that she knew everything, I could kiss her back without remorse.
So I gave in to her kiss. Hours later, when all the others had gone, (Hotaru promised to visit), Michiru smiled at me. Our lips met, and her graceful fingers wound their way through my hair. My hands slid down her back to her waist, and she giggled and pulled away slightly. I smiled at her, and her lips found mine once more. Finally, I could fix what I had broken. All that trust. So far, I was definitely liking what destiny had to offer me, and I would embrace every second of it.
(This is it! Hope you liked my fanfic, and I hope to start another soon!)
